Removal and installation of the inlet pipeline
It is worth to remember that gasoline is flammable liquid in the highest measure, – during the work with components of a power supply system observe all taken measures of fire safety. You do not smoke and do not approach the venue of works with naked flame or the carrying unprotected by the lamp shade. You do not make service of system in the room equipped with the heating devices using natural gas and equipped with a control torch (such as vodogre and dryers for clothes). Do not forget that gasoline is among the cancerogenic substances promoting development of cancer – try not to allow hits of fuel on open parts of the body – use protective rubber gloves, at casual unforeseen contact carefully wash out hands warm water with soap. Immediately collect the spilled fuel and do not put the rags impregnated with fuel and lubricants near sources of naked flame. Remember that the power supply system of the models equipped with injection of fuel constantly is under pressure. Before starting a detachment of fuel lines, dump residual pressure in system (for more details see the Head of the Power supply system and release). At service of components of a power supply system put on goggles. Constantly hold near at hand the class B fire extinguisher! |
Removal
1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that you have the correct combination for input of the audio system in action! |
2. Empty the cooling system (see the Head Routine maintenance). 3. Remove the air cleaner with an air inlet (see the Head of the Power supply system and release).
On B18C1 engines the socket of the electromagnetic valve of a perepuskaniye of the soaked-up air is located under the pipeline in view of what access to it is extremely limited. It is alternatively possible to disconnect an electrical wiring after removal of partial separation of the pipeline from a head. |
4. Having accurately marked, disconnect all electrical wiring preventing dismantle of the inlet pipeline and vacuum lines (see an accompanying illustration).
5. Disconnect an accelerator cable from the lever of the drive of a butterfly valve (see the Head of the Power supply system and release). 6. Remove hoses of a cooling path from the throttle case. On B18B1 and B18C1 engines disconnect also cooling hoses from the valve of stabilization of turns of idling (IAC). 7. Dump pressure in a power supply system and disconnect from the fuel highway of the line of giving and return of fuel (see the Head of the Power supply system and release).
8. Working from below under a motive compartment, remove the assembly bracket supporting the inlet pipeline (see an accompanying illustration). |
9. Disconnect from the inlet pipeline perepuskny a cooling system hose (from a gas-distributing belt) (see an accompanying illustration). |
10. Give fixing nuts (see the previous illustration) and remove the inlet pipeline from the engine.
11. If the pipeline is equipped with removable air camera (B18C1 engines), at will it is possible to give fixing nuts and to separate the camera from the pipeline (see an accompanying illustration). Remove laying, the perepuskny camera of the soaked-up air (IAB), then the second laying. |

Installation
1. Wipe with solvent of a nut of fastening of the inlet pipeline, then carefully dry them, whenever possible with use of compressed air. 2. Estimate planeness of the interfaced surface of the pipeline by means of the special measuring instrument (the steel ruler put on an edge) and the probe of lezviyny type. 3. Examine the pipeline on existence of cracks and signs of deformation. The defective pipeline is subject to a pro-point, or replacement. 4. Check a condition of fixture (bolts/hairpins) of the pipeline. Replace defective units. 5. Scratch out traces of material of old laying from the interfaced surfaces of a head and the inlet pipeline, then wipe surfaces with the rags moistened in acetone.
6. Having picked up new sealing laying, install the pipeline on the regular place and fix it, having tightened by hand all nuts. Working in that order (see an accompanying illustration), tighten fixture with the required effort (see Specifications). |
7. Further installation is made as it should be, the return to a dismantle order. In conclusion do not forget to fill the cooling system (see the Head Routine maintenance). |
