Check of serviceability of a state and replacement of the sensor of VMT/provision of a cranked shaft / situation of pistons in cylinders of the engine (TDC/CKP/CYP)

On the considered models the sensor of provision of a bent shaft structurally consists of three parts tracing, respectively, actually the provision of a shaft, the provision of VMT of the engine (TDC sensor) and position of the piston of the cylinder No. 1 (CYP sensor). On the basis of the data arriving from the sensor of ICR, ECM/PCM defines the moments of injection of fuel and ignition in each of engine cylinders, in parallel the sensor delivers information on the frequency of rotation of the engine on the module of management. The correct installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition at start of the engine is determined by signals of the TDC sensor. The CYP sensor informs the module of management on readiness of each of cylinders for injection of fuel in it. All three sensors are united in uniform assembly which is established in the ignition distributor. Diagnostics of malfunctions of sensors is made by means of the reader of data of memory of ECM/PCM (see System of onboard diagnostics (OBD) - the principle of functioning and codes of malfunctions) and measurements of resistance between the corresponding plugs of the socket of an electrical wiring of assembly.

SKRB sensor

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. For check of the sensor of ICR disunite the electric socket on the distributor of ignition and measure resistance between plugs 2 and 6 in it (see an accompanying illustration). Compare result of measurement to requirements of Specifications.

2. Check plugs 2 and 6 for existence of conductivity on weight – conductivity SHOULD NOT be, otherwise replace assembly of the distributor (see the Head Elektrooborudovaniye of the engine).
3. If it is not possible to reveal causes of infringement, drive away the car on car repair shop for more detailed diagnostics.

TDC sensor

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. For check of the sensor disunite the electric socket on the distributor of ignition and measure resistance between plugs 3 and 7 in it (see an illustration above). Compare results of measurement to requirements of Specifications.
2. Check plugs 3 and 7 for existence of conductivity on weight – conductivity SHOULD NOT be, otherwise replace assembly of the distributor (see the Head Elektrooborudovaniye of the engine).
3. If it is not possible to reveal causes of infringement, drive away the car on car repair shop for more detailed diagnostics.

CYP sensor

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. For check of the sensor disunite the electric socket on the distributor of ignition and measure resistance between plugs 4 and 8 in it (see an illustration above). Compare results of measurement to requirements of Specifications.
2. Check plugs 4 and 8 for existence of conductivity on weight – conductivity SHOULD NOT be, otherwise replace assembly of the distributor (see the Head Elektrooborudovaniye of the engine).
3. If it is not possible to reveal causes of infringement, drive away the car on car repair shop for more detailed diagnostics.
