Check of a condition of the fan(s) of the cooling system and chain of its inclusion, replacement of the fan(s)
|
Try not to touch fan blades with hands, the tool and details of clothes. In order to avoid getting injured or damage of the equipment, do not start the engine at the faulty fan. Do not make attempts to repair the broken blades of a krylchatka, – change her assembled! |
Check
|
On the models equipped To/in two fans – one for an obduv of a radiator of the cooling system of the engine, and the second for an obduv of the condenser of air conditioning system are provided. The procedures described below are equally applicable to both fans. |
|
|
1a. For check of serviceability of functioning of an electric motor of the drive of the fan disunite the socket of its conducting (see иллюстр.: cooling system). Now, by means of a wire crossing point connect the fan directly to the battery. If the fan does not begin to rotate, replace an electric motor. |
|
1b. Location of a rajem of an electrical wiring of the driving motor of the fan of the air conditioning system. |
2. If the motor as it should be, check a condition of a safety lock and the relay (see the Head Onboard electric equipment), the sensor switch of the fan, the relay of the K/V fan (at the corresponding complete set it is established in the left forward corner of a motive compartment) and a connecting electrical wiring of the corresponding contour.

3. For check of serviceability of functioning of the sensor switch of the fan of the cooling system, disconnect the socket of its electrical wiring (see an accompanying illustration), then by means of an ohmmeter make sure of lack of conductivity between sensor switch plugs at the cold engine (below 88 °C conductivity has to be absent). Start the engine, warm up it up to the normal working temperature, then again muffle and make sure that now (at a temperature of cooling liquid above 92÷96 °C) conductivity between plugs of the socket takes place. In case of negative results of checks replace the sensor switch. |
4. Functioning of the fan of the air conditioning system is controlled by the electronic module of management (ESM). If the fan does not function at inclusion To/in in spite of the fact that all checks described in the previous paragraph yield positive result, check coolant level in system. Diagnostics of ESM can be made in the conditions of a workshop of car service. |

Replacement
|
1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
|
If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that you have the correct combination for input of the audio system in action! |
2. Cock the parking brake and prop up back wheels of the car antiretractable boots. A car front also establish to Poddomkratta it on props. At the corresponding complete set remove the lower antispray screen of a radiator. 3. Having passed the small screw-driver throughout the socket, release a lock uvula and disconnect a fan electrical wiring.

4a. Turn out the lower bolts of fastening of the fan (see accompanying illustrations). |

4b. On the Integra models the clamp, on the Civic models – two rubber pillows placed in openings in basic arms is provided. |
|
5. Otboltite the top arms of the fan(s) (see an accompanying illustration) and the top support of the condenser. |
|
6. Accurately take the fan from a motive compartment (see an accompanying illustration). |
|
7. For removal of a krylchatka from a shaft of the motor give the central nut (see an accompanying illustration). |
|
8. For removal of a driving electric motor from a casing of the fan turn out fixing screws (see an accompanying illustration). |
