Adjustment and replacement of the sensor switch of position of the lever of the selector of transfers

Check

Considered in the present manual of the car are equipped with safety cushions (SRS). When performing any works near sensors of blows, a steering column or the dashboard disconnect SRS (see schemes of electric connections at the end of the Head Onboard electric equipment).

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove the console (see the Head Kuzov). 2a. Disunite the 14-contact electric socket of the sensor switch of position of the lever of the selector (see accompanying illustrations): Civic models. 2b. Integra models. 3. Check the sensor switch for compliance of conditions of the sensor switch to cards of conductivity (see accompanying illustrations). You transfer the selector lever serially to each of provisions, without touching the press button. Remember that the size of a free wheeling of the lever in each of provisions makes about 2 mm. At negative results of check make adjustment of the sensor switch (see below). Adjustment

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Transfer the selector lever to situation "P" and weaken nuts of fastening of the sensor switch (see an illustration below). 2. Shift the lever towards situation "D" so that conductivity between plugs 2 and 14 Civic/A and L (Integra) of the socket of the sensor switch appeared. Conductivity has to remain within a free wheeling of the lever (about 2 mm). 3. Make the check described in paragraph 3 (Check) is higher. Make sure that the engine is started in position "N" of the lever. 4. If requirements of the card of provodimost still remain outstanding, check a condition of a clamp and an arm of the lever of the selector. If it is not possible to reveal any damages, replace the sensor switch.

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove the console (see the Head Kuzov). 2. Disunite the 14-kontatkny socket of the sensor switch (see illustrations above). 3. Give two fixing nuts (see an accompanying illustration), remove washers. Remove the sensor switch. 4. Transfer the ram of the new sensor switch to neutral situation (situation "N"). 5. Transfer the selector lever to situation "N" and install the new sensor switch. 6. Put on washers and fix the sensor switch by nuts. 7. Make check of the sensor switch according to the instructions provided in paragraph 3 (Check). Make sure that the engine is started in position "N" of the lever of the selector. 8. Connect the electric socket of the sensor switch. Fix an electrical wiring plait in all provided clamps. 9. Install into place the console (see the Head Kuzov).
