Check of a state and replacement of brake lines and hoses

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Approximately time in half a year, having lifted the car, check all flexible hoses connecting steel tubes of hydraulic contours to brake mechanisms of wheels on existence of cracks, signs of damage of a protective cover, traces of leak of liquid, swellings and other damages. Hoses are a critical and most vulnerable component of the brake system therefore them it has to be examined with all care – use a pocket small lamp and a small mirror. At identification of any doubtful signs the suspected hose is subject to replacement.
2. Replaceable steel and flexible brake lines can always be got in service center of the company manufacturers of the car, and also in company shops of automobile accessories.

Do not use as replaceable any tubes, except company, specially intended for installation in a brake contour of your car at all.


3. At installation of brake lines you watch that they were located at a distance of not less than 20 mm from the moving or vibrating components of a body, a suspension bracket or the steering drive.

4a. For an otpuskaniye of nipple connections of flexible hoses with steel tubes of hydraulic lines use special cap keys with a cutting head (see an accompanying illustration).

4b. After an otpuskaniye of a nut remove a clamp and release a brake hose from a basic arm (see an accompanying illustration).

5. Rassoyedineniye of two hoses is made by means of ordinary Rozhkov of keys. When joining knots you watch that hoses were not overwound.
6. Rigid tubes of hydraulic lines are usually fixed on all length in special clamps. At removal of the line you watch that it was released from all clips.
7. When replacing brake lines you watch that replaceable components in accuracy corresponded according to the tipo-dimensional characteristics to the old sections removed from the car. Do not replace steel tubes copper at all!
8. At installation of steel tubes you watch reliability of their fixing in all provided arms, collars and clips. Do not allow making of tubes excessively close from moving components of a suspension bracket and the steering drive.
9. Finish installation of new sections of hydraulic lines, check liquid level in the GTTs tank. In case of need make the corresponding adjustment. Pump over the brake system (see Pumping of the brake system).
10. Before starting operation of the car make sure of serviceability of functioning of brakes.
