Assembly of a head of cylinders

Regardless of that, the head went to a workshop for carrying out service of valves, or not before starting its assembly, carefully double-check purity of all components.

After return of a head from a workshop in it valves with the accompanying components will be already installed. In this case it is necessary to lower procedures of the following five paragraphs and at once to pass to the actions described in paragraph 7.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. First of all install on the directing plugs of valves of a saddle of their springs (see an accompanying illustration).

Stop a cap zastukivaniye right after that as he completely "will get" on the plug – further blows can lead to rubber damage. Track that caps were not overwound on plugs.

2. Put on a new maslootrazhatelny cap each of the directing plugs. Maslootrazhatelny caps (inlet and final valves) "are put" on the guides of the plug by a careful zastukivaniye.

Maslootrazhatelny caps of inlet and final valves differ on a standard size and are marked with a color code (see an accompanying illustration) – do not mix them.

3. Moving from one end of a head to another, grease with molibdensoderzhashchy or assembly motive lubricant the first valve and put him in a head. Oil a core of the valve pure motive.

4. Put on a core valvate springs and their plate (see an accompanying illustration). The special tool squeeze springs, having lowered a plate, then establish in the opened flute on a valve core crackers of the cutting lock.

Valvate springs are established by rounds with the reduced step to a head.

5. For the purpose of temporary fixing of crackers to an otpuskaniye of the tool grease them from the inside with dense lubricant (see an accompanying illustration).

6. Repeat the procedure for the remained valves. You watch that all components were installed strictly on the former places.

7. By means of a vernier caliper check the adjusting height of cores of valves (distance from a saddle of springs to a face surface of a core of the valve) (see an accompanying illustration). If repair of a head was made in a workshop of car service, this parameter will already be adjusted properly. If the result any of measurements exceeds value, admissible on Specifications, replace the corresponding valve and repeat check. If replacement of the valve does not lead to correction of a situation, therefore the saddle of the valve is too deeply put in a head and the last is subject to replacement.

8. Grease with assembly motive lubricant working surfaces of yokes of the drive of valves, cams and necks of the camshaft(s) and an axis of yokes. Install in a head the camshaft(s) and assemblies of yokes (see the Part Repair of the engine without extraction from the car - the Civic model of the present Chapter).
