Schedule of routine maintenance

The intervals of routine maintenance of the car stipulated in the present Section are calculated on independent performance by the owner of the vehicle of all necessary procedures. Duration of intervals was defined proceeding from the assumption of daily operation of the car. Constantly to support the vehicle in dive of a form, some of procedures for desire of the owner can be carried out in more intensive mode. Authors of the present manual are sure that receiving the maximum return from the power unit of the car and its other knots and systems can achieve only on condition of a conscientious attitude of the owner to care of the vehicle. It is worth to remember as well about need of maintenance of a trade dress of the car on a case of its resale.

At operation of the car in the conditions of strongly dusty area, an intense city cycle (frequent short trips), and also at frequent towage of the trailer, intervals of performing procedures of routine maintenance have to be whenever possible reduced to a minimum.

Servicing of the new vehicle has to be made in company service center of the trade mission of the company manufacturer of the car in order to avoid violation of factory guarantee certificates.

Through each 400 km (250 miles) of a run or times a week (that will come earlier)

Check the level of motive oil (see Check of levels of liquids (each 400 km of a run or weekly)).
Check the level of cooling liquid of the engine (see Check of levels of liquids (each 400 km of a run or weekly)).
Check the level of liquid of washing of a windshield (see Check of levels of liquids (each 400 km of a run or weekly)).
Check the level of brake fluid (see Check of levels of liquids (each 400 km of a run or weekly)).
Check pressure of a rating of tires (see Check of a condition of tires and pressure of their rating (each 400 km of a run or weekly)).

Through each 4800 km (3000 miles) of a run or times in 3 months (that will come earlier)

Check PAS liquid level (see Check of level of liquid of the power steering (each 4 800 km of a run or times in three months)).
Check the ATF AT/CVT level (see Check of the ATF AT/CVT level (each 4 800 km of a run or times in three months)).
You make replacement of motive oil and an oil filter (see Replacement of motive oil and an oil filter (each 4 800 km of a run or times in three months)).

Through each 12 000 km (7500 miles) of a run or times in 6 months (that will come earlier)

In addition to the checks listed in the previous subsection:

Check a condition of brushes of screen wipers, in case of need you make replacement (see Check of a state and replacement of brushes of screen wipers (each 12 000 km of a run or times in 6 months)).
Check a state and you make service of the battery (see Check, service and charging of the rechargeable battery (each 12 000 km of a run or times in 6 months)).

Check serviceability of functioning and a condition of components of the cooling system (see Check of a condition of components of the cooling system (each 12 000 km of a run or times in 6 months)).

Check a condition of blocks of brake mechanisms of forward wheels (see Check of the brake system (each 12 000 km of a run or times in 6 months)).

Through each 25 000 km (15 000 miles) of a run or times in 12 months (that will come earlier)

Check serviceability of functioning and a condition of components of the brake system (see Check of the brake system (each 12 000 km of a run or times in 6 months)).*
Check a condition of seat belts (see Check of a condition of seat belts (each 24 000 km of a run or times in 12 months)).
You make adjustment of gaps of valves (see Check and adjustment of gaps of valves (each 24 000 km of a run or times in 12 months)).
You make replacement of the air filter (see Replacement of the filtering air cleaner element (each 24 000 km of a run or times in two years)).*
Check serviceability of functioning and a condition of components of a power supply system (see Check of a condition of components of a power supply system (each 24 000 km of a run or times in 12 months)).
Check the MTF level (see Check of level of the RKPP gearbox oil (each 24 000 km of a run or times in 12 months)).*
Check a condition of components of a suspension bracket and the steering drive, and also protective covers of CV JOINTS (see Survey of components of a suspension bracket and the steering drive, check of a condition of protective covers of power shafts).*

Through each 48 000 km (30 000 miles) of a run, or time in 24 months (that will come earlier)

In addition to the checks listed in the previous subsection:

You make replacement of usual (not platinum) spark plugs (see Check of a state and replacement of spark plugs).
Check a condition of VV of wires, a cover and the runner of the distributor, in case of need you make replacement (see Check of a state and replacement of spark plugs).
Check a condition of the PCV valve, in case of need you make replacement (see Check and replacement of the valve of system of the operated ventilation of a case (PCV) (each 48 000 km of a run or times in 24 months)).
You make replacement of the fuel filter (see Replacement of the fuel filter (each 48 000 km of a run or times in 24 months)).
Check idling turns, in case of need you make the corresponding adjustment (see Check and adjustment of turns of idling (each 48 000 km of a run or times in 24 months)).
You make service (depletion, washing and filling) of the cooling system (see Service of the cooling system (depletion, washing and filling) (each 48 000 km of a run or times in 24 months)).
You make replacement of brake fluid (see Replacement of brake fluid (each 48 000 km of a run or times in 24 months)).
You make ATF AT/CVT replacement (see Replacement of liquid of automatic transmission (AT/CVT) (each 48 000 km of a run or times in 24 months)). **
You make MTF replacement (see Replacement of the RKPP gearbox oil (each 48 000 km of a run or times in 24 months)).

Through each 60 000 km (40 000 miles) of a run or times in 32 months (that will come earlier)

In addition to the checks listed in the previous subsection:

You make replacement of platinum spark plugs (see Check of a state and replacement of VV of candle wires, a cover and the runner of the distributor (each 48 000 km of a run or times in 24 months)).

Through each 145 000 km (90 000 miles) of a run or times in 72 months (that will come earlier)

You make replacement of a belt of the GRM drive (see Repair of the engine without extraction from the car - the Civic model).

* At operation of the car in intense conditions perform all procedures marked with an asterisk through each 4800 km (3000 miles) of a run or times in 3 months (that will come earlier).

Intense are understood as the following service conditions:
   Strong dust content of the area;
   Towage of the trailer;
   Long operation of the engine on single turns / the movement with low speeds;
   Low ambient temperature (it is below 0th °C) in combination with short trips (less than 6 km [4 miles]).

** At operation of the car in any of the listed below conditions the procedures marked with two asterisks have to be performed through each 25 000 km (15 000 miles) (20 000 km [12 000 miles] for the models equipped with CVT) a run:

Intense city cycle at high an environment bang (over 32 °C);
The movement in the hilly or mountain area.
